Thanks to the first page article in the Litchfield County Times, over 100 people packed into the Gunn Memorial Library in my hometown of Washington, Connecticut to hear me talk about Rosemary Verey: The Life and Lessons of a Legendary Gardener on Saturday, February 2. Fortunately the weather cooperated. My next talk for the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons scheduled for the following weekend on Sunday, February 10 was eradicated by the blizzard Nemo. The snow was over two feet deep, obliterating any sign of the stonewalls in the garden in front of the barn and creating top hats for the woodbins and bird feeders.
