There was a marvelous luncheon at The Cosmopolitan Club on Wednesday, April 10th, thanks to my good friend, Dee Winokur, who made it all happen and is pictured with me at the event. Dee invited me to give a book talk at the Club and then managed it all to perfection, right down to the handsome hydrangeas in the center of each table. Sarah Hewitt also did yeoman service in fielding questions, issues and protocol so everyone was happy. They told me that 140 people came and I was delighted to see many other friends come too. The setting was gracious as well as ideal to show off the glorious photographs of Jerry Harpur and Andrew Lawson and the technology worked brilliantly. A delightful occasion indeed.
