Mystic Garden Club Book Talk

I am looking forward to talking to the Mystic Garden Club on Tuesday morning, November 14, at 10:30 AM about my book about Rosemary Verey  — BUT ALSO about my new book about to come out early in the New Year.  It is Heroes of Horticulture: Americans Who Transformed The Landscape, published by David R. Godine.  So I will talk about Rosemary Verey but also offer a sneak preview of the new book.  There are 18 people profiled and all but two of them are living and continuing their great work.  This book will in a larger format than my Rosemary Verey book to allow the photographs to be included in each chapter, including pictures of each hero and of many of  the amazing gardens discussed.  The Tuesday talk will be at the Congregational Church on 43 East Main St. in the center of historic Mystic, Connecticut, thanks to Cathy Alsop, who invited me to speak.
