The Garden Conservancy’s recent Newsletter was kind enough to profile a story about my new book and me. See the first part above and the rest below. It appeared just before their annual elegant Christmas dinner for Fellows at the Knickbocker Club in New York, and shortly after their big holiday party in California. Most generously of all, they purchased a huge number of books for me to sign beforehand to give to those attending as holiday gifts. The first three chapters, of course, tell the marvelous story of the founding of The Garden Conservancy which has gone on to greater strengths since as a national organization dedicated to preserving exceptional American gardens and to spreading the enthusiasm for gardening, the environment and plants through their Open Days Program and impressive public educational programs. It was a very happy way to start the holiday season.
