Elizabeth Park Conservancy — April 10, 2019

I was delighted to be invited to speak about my book at The Elizabeth Park Conservancy to a very engaged audience.  Christine Doty, the President and C.E.O., introduced me and thanked me afterwards by presenting me with the gorgeous orchid you see above.  Elizabeth Park is on Asylum Avenue in West Hartford, Connecticut and features an historic rose garden along with much more.  There are plans for an impressive new visitor center and expanded programs.  I spoke in the Pond House and was suggested to Christine by our dear friends, Douglas and Tita Hyland, shown here with Christine, Charlie and me.  After my talk, I signed books and Douglas was one of my first takers.   My thanks to Deb Key for taking all these wonderful photographs.
