In recent years, I only open for The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days program in June when the roses are working their magic, but this year, I agreed to open also in September because George Schoellkopf, one of the heroes in my recent book and creator of Hollister House Garden was holding his symposium weekend. Happily it was the most glorious day. Between 10 AM and 4 PM we had 165 people visit Brush Hill.
Here I am with Mary Watson who came with her husband Frank from Jacksonville, Florida. And my wonderful grandson, Charlie, took tickets and charmed everyone.
