Thursday, June 13th was a rainy day and cold, but it stopped by the time I arrived here at the Visitors Center, new built and opened, of the Greenwich Historical Society in Cos Cob, Connecticut. I arrived earlier than the 6 PM door opening to be greeted by the wonderful Director of Education, shown with me, Anna Greco.
And special thanks to Susan Cohen, a talented landscape designer herself, who suggested me as a speaker.
After a walk through the gardens past an early historical house to the Vanderbilt Education Center where I was to speak, I was introduced to Dean McKenna, one of the enthusiastic docents here ready to host a reception for the arriving guests.
Thanks to Anna Greco’s superb preparation, I was delighted to find the technology all set and ready to role to present my talk and the related images on the screen. A very special place well worth a longer visit — I hope to return.
