What a delight to deliver my book talk to the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons at the Bridgehampton Inn on Sunday afternoon, April 14. Here I am above with the President, Alicia Whitaker who kindly introduced me to a special group of supporters invited to this event, also giving my book review in that weekend’s Wall St. Journal for the spring garden book round up a shout out! Bettina Benson here with me did all the heroics to organize this all, especially managing to make the technology challenges all work out with calm and grace. And a special treat to have a chance to catch up with my dear long time friend, Elaine Peterson who drove the distance from Montauk to join us. She is also the wife of one of my favorite law partners, Richard Kahn and here she is with Charlie and me at the lovely reception held afterwards for everyone, with wine and delicious beautifully presented tasty bits. Best of all, Charlie and I had an overnight visit with my brother Ken Paul and his lovely wife Jill Ehrenberg at their charming home in nearby Watermill — with a special walk around their garden several zones warmer than my own, even daffodils in bloom! So cheering!
