The Mad Gardener’s had their annual picnic at Brush Hill. My granddaughter, Skye proudly showed off the afternoon’s harvest from her garden. She gave tours of her garden as well as the rest of the gardens at Brush Hill, noting that now age 9, she has now been gardening for five years. Her younger brother, Charlie also conducted tours and explained to anyone who would listen the engineering intricacies of the Waterworks, created by his grandfather “Pop” also named Charlie. A beautiful day indeed with the cannas and dahlias provided quite a show. The weather was glorious, sunny and dry, after the day before dropped two inches of rain along with tornado alerts. Brush Hill was fortunately spared.
