Purple was the theme! The favorite color of our honoree at the Wave Hill annual Gardeners’ Party and also mine. A wonderful event as always with passionate gardeners gathered at the glorious gardens of Wave Hill high on a hill overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades beyond. They are there to buy plants, bid on treasures at auction and some even bought my book! Rosemary Verey was the first person to speak at this event in 1981 as recounted in my book so a special moment to be there with her story to share. All book sales were for the benefit of Wave Hill.
